Usage and Start-Up Recommendations

• Suction and discharge line connections must be made with diameters suitable for the pump.
• Before the pump is started for the first time, the pre-filter chamber must be completely filled with water.
• The pump must never be operated without water.
• During initial start-up, the outlet valve should first be kept closed or half-closed, then fully opened within 5 seconds to allow the pump to reach operating speed.
• Suction valves must not be closed during operation.
• Water must not reach the motor section and the environment must not be humid.
• Adequate airflow must be provided for the cooling fan located at the rear of the motor; otherwise, overheating may cause malfunction.
• Maximum velocity should be 1.5 m/s for suction lines and 2.5 m/s for discharge lines.
• Suction height above 3 meters is not recommended unless necessary.
